KOCHI: Technology major Intel has scheduled for a worldwide launch of its fourth generation core processors in June, said S Ramaprasad, director of MNC business at Intel Technology India Pvt Ltd, in Kochi on Wednesday.
These processors, which are expected to be available in India by June or July, will be faster and consume less power compared to the prior generation, Ramaprasad noted.
He also said the company will enter markets other than the personal computer, with an aim to give consumers different price points and different formats.
Intel also announced the launch of a six-week nationwide campaign to increase the relevance for personal computing devices and drive the domestic adoption of technology in India. Nine original equipment manufacturers, four telecom service providers and two retail giants have partnered in this campaign, the company said.
