Instagram Is Coming Up With New App For Apple Smartwatch

The new wearable from Apple is already influencing brand decisions and bringing about changes in product strategy. The latest brand to join the fray is Instagram. The popular mobile photo-sharing, video-sharing and social networking service is developing its first smartwatch app and it’s coming to Apple Watch.

According to the latest reports, the much-anticipated watch would come with an app which will notify you as soon as someone uploads a picture on Instagram.

Instagram, owned by Facebook is definitely a beautiful way to share your life with friends. And now it is coming up with a new app for the Apple smartwatch which will issue an alert immediately after your friend posts his or her picture on Instagram, reports Financial Times. The Instagram app will further allow you to browse your photo feed, like photos and leave emoji comments.

This would be Instagram’s first venture into wearable technology as it has always been away from wearable devices including Google’s Glass headset and smartwatches. If reports are to be believed, Apple has laid down strict guidelines regarding its app for the new Watch, restricting what third-party developers can generate using its tools, called Watchkit.
