Infinix Hot S3 smartphone with 20MP selfie camera, Android Oreo launched, price starts at Rs 8,999


Hong Kong-based smartphone maker Infinix has launched its latest budget smartphone in India. Dubbed Inifinix Hot S3, the main highlight of the smartphone is its selfie camera. This is the first smartphone of the company to come with a 20MP shooter.
The company has launched two variants of Infinix Hot S3. The 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant is priced at Rs 8,999, while the 4GB RAM and 64GB version costs Rs 10,999. The smartphone will be exclusively available on Flipkart staring February 12 in Sandstone Black and Brush Gold colour options. Going by the price and the selfie feature the smartphone will compete against Xiaomi’s Redmi Y1 selfie smartphone which is selling at Rs 8,999.
Specifications
The Infinix Hot S3 houses a 20MP front shooter with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. The company claims that the smartphone can capture good low light selfies and also comes with beautification mode. On the rear end, the smartphone sports a 13MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture and dual LED flash. The rear camera is also capable of recording HD videos.
The Infinix Hot S3 features a bezel-less display. The smartphone comes with a 5.65-inch HD+ display with 720×1440 pixel resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor.
The device offers 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. Users can further expand the storage by adding a microSD card. The smartphone comes equipped with a rear mounted fingerprint sensor and is backed by a 4000mAh battery. In terms of connectivity it offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
