India-US ties to strengthen through trade, commerce and tech : PM MODI

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s US trip is about to kickstart this week, where he’ll meet President Joe Biden and his diplomatic associates. PM Modi is also supposed to have an integrational meet on national issues like trade, commerce and technology. All possible opportunities are supposed to be generated through these meetings which will strengthen the political relations of both the countries.

India in Modi’s reign has emerged as a world leader and is expected to keep touching the newer heights in various ever-growing fields of basic human existences, even in decision making processes globally, India’s stand is considered crucial , adding sustainability to the globally connected people.

One of the highlights of Prime Minister Modi’s visit was his meeting with President Joe Biden at the White House. The leaders discussed a wide range of topics, including the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, trade and investment, defense cooperation, and regional security.

Enhancing trade and investment ties between India and the United States was a key focus of Prime Minister Modi’s visit. Discussions revolved around expanding market access, facilitating investments, and fostering innovation and technology collaboration. As India is also expecting technology to play a vital role in GDP contributions of the year 2025-26 , with the ministry of tech expecting returns to be around 25% from the above mentioned field.

In this, “I am travelling to the United States of America on a State Visit at the invitation of President Joseph Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden,” the PM wrote, adding that the invitation is “a reflection of the vigor and vitality of the partnership between our democracies“.

On June 14th  Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s State Visit to the US next week will be an opportunity to elevate India-US commercial and strategic technology partnerships. She highlighted the immense potential for collaboration between India and the US in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, 5G, quantum computing, and clean energy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the United States was a significant step towards reinforcing the bilateral relationship between the two nations. The discussions held during the visit showcased the shared values and common interests that underpin the India-U.S. partnership.
