In conversation with Mr. Sanjay Lodha, Promoter and the Chairman and Managing Director- Netweb Technologies

JahnaviWhat is the major idea behind the company?

Sanjay– When we were starting out, there were very few indigenous servers/workstations manufacturers in India. High end computing was still not a widely heard technology solution. However, there was great excitement regarding its scope and possibilities in the future. In hindsight, we were bullish about the future of high performance and high-end computing as it had the potential for digital transformation in every facet including the rising computational demands of businesses, academia, and research organizations. So, we set out to become one of India’s leading Indian origin owned and controlled OEM
for HCS with integrated design and manufacturing capabilities.

Fast forward twenty-five years, we are delighted that our bet on technology didn’t go wrong. Modern AI/ML and HPC workloads demand some of the finest hardware technology including cutting-edge processors, GPU, storage, and networking components.

The compelling idea behind the establishment of the company has been to fill the gap between supply and demand for running workloads that require a cutting-edge infrastructure and solutions requirement. The infrastructure demand for different workloads is different. For example, while a conventional ML algorithm requires more computing power, the deep learning algorithm will require more GPU powers as it needs to process massive volumes of unstructured data such as images or video. Hence it is important to first design your infrastructure as per your requirement and then deploy the actual infrastructure. Needless to say, such action requires the expertise of an experienced organization like Netweb.

Jahnavi–  Are there any long-term goals planned for the company? If yes, what are they?

Sanjay– Our long-term goals are to deliver the exceptional capabilities of cloud computing for the use of different industries. We also have an ambitious plan in the areas of 5G and Private 5G deployment.

The cloud computing market in India and across the globe is already huge. As a part of their digital transformation strategy, companies are adopting cloud technology like never before. The attitude towards cloud adoption has seen a drastic shift with the move from “nice to have” to “must have” technology. In recent years, with further advancement in virtualization technology such as containers and virtual machines, adoption of cloud has accelerated.

Netweb has been meticulously working in areas such as cloud computing and related virtualization technology. You will be glad to know that we have designed and developed a private cloud solution better known as SKYLUS. It delivers a private cloud solution that makes customers’ journey simple and fast from disaggregated to Hyperconverged cloud deployment seamless and easy. Skylus has the adaptability to fit diverse business landscapes. It is designed for quick deployment and assists in providing scalability, multitenancy, migration between nodes and a single management dashboard

Kubyts is a curated catalogue of GPUs and CPUs acceleratedcontainer applications and images for deep learning software, HPC applications and HPC visualization tools. Containers are a way to package applications, libraries, and configurations and run them as a self-contained and isolated environment agnostic of the software installed on the host system (Containers). Kubyts, through the use of Containers, assists applications involved in machine learning and deep learning and can run multiple applications simultaneously. Kubyts can run on a system as well on a private or a public cloud. Thesalient features of Kubyts include speed, portability, baremetal performance, the capability to run multiple applicationssimultaneously, a container-optimized cloud, simpledeployment, and the availability of Tyrone AI experts.

The application of HPC and other technology such as cloud is crucial to deliver the results for organizations looking to leverage the benefits of full stack solutions that include High Performance Computing (HPC) Systems, Private cloud and hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), AI systems and Enterprise workstations, High performance storage (HPS) solutions and Data Centre servers.

Netweb with its integration and manufacturing facilities, indomitable spirit, and talented employees, is all set to embark on its vision to becoming one of the leading names in the domain of high-end computing solutions.

JahnaviWhat is the foremost approach used by NetwebTechnologies in helping the customers?

Sanjay– I strongly believe in the concept that “One size does not fill all” theory. Each customer and their problem definition are unique in their requirement and deployment. Although prima facie, it may seem that the two problems are similar but when you explore deeper, you may find that solution design and deployment require a different approach.

While for some we can have the productized way to serve with lots of choices, we have developed a consultative mechanism, where our team engages the end customer to find out the kind of workloads they wish to run on a targeted infrastructure, any future changes that must be made, to be run on premises or the cloud, etc.

Once we have identified the challenges, we propose infrastructure designs that match their expectations within the agreed price band. If the customer is not happy with the proposed design, we go back on the drawing board. This constant cycle of feedback and improvement ensures that only the best is delivered to our customers and there is no compromise on the yardstick of quality.

Over the years, we have developed deep expertise in system design & architecture. Our developed designs are cloud-native and capable of catering to the evolving needs of customers.

JahnaviConsidering you provide a ‘Wide range of server solutions’, what are those and how are they helpful to the customers?

Sanjay– Our wide range of server solutions include All-Flash NVMeServers, Twin Servers, Storage Servers, GPU Servers, Blade Server, etc. These servers are custom built to run for target environment such as high-availability clusters, high-performance data centers, load balanced dedicated servers, scalable private cloud, AI-ready server, for backup and recovery and to achieve high-density computing.
