Huawei earlier this month launched its first smartwatch at MWC 2015, a premium Android Wear offering, without revealing details about price and availability.

Now, price details of the Huawei Watch have surfaced on the Internet suggesting that the high-end Gold variant will be available at the same price as the Apple Watch Sport (basic version).

The pricing comes from a Twitter user Antonio Monaco (via Phone Arena) who has shared an image showing purported European pricing of the Huawei Watch. Huawei Watch will be available in three colours – Gold, Silver and Black.

According to the shared image, the wearable from Huawei will be available at a starting price of EUR 349 (Rs. 23,200 approximately) for the Silver and Black models while the Gold version will be available at a slightly higher price of EUR 399 (Rs. 26,600 approximately), along with what appears to be a leather watch band. Interestingly, the Gold version of the Huawei Watch shared the same price tag as the cheapest Apple Watch Sport 38mm, which also priced at EUR 399 in European markets.

We will have to still wait for Huawei’s confirmation on the price of its Android Wear-powered Huawei Watch. The smartwatch features a 400×400 pixel 1.4-inch AMOLED touchscreen with a pixel density of 286ppi. It comes with a Qualcomm APQ8026 1.2GHz processor, 4GB storage and 512MB of RAM.

The smartwatch also features a heart rate monitor and a motion sensor, both of which will appeal to fitness enthusiasts. It ships with a 300mAh battery. The company at its MWC 2015 launch said it would be offering two watch band choices – Stainless Steel and Gold.

Coming to Apple Watch, the Cupertino-based giant at its Spring Forward event on Monday unveiled its wearable that will be available for pre-order starting April 10 and in stores on April 24. The Apple Watch Sport starts at $349 (roughly Rs. 21,600) for the 38mm model, while the Apple Watch model starts at $549 (roughly Rs. 34,000) for the 38mm model.
