Sony, Nokia and Samsung are not the only two major brands that will be announcing new additions to their portfolio at the upcoming MWC 2018 conference. Now, Huawei too has confirmed its presence at the event. The Chinese technology company, on Chinese micro blogging website Weibo, invited fans for the event. The post added that there will be new products as well.

Although the details on those ‘products’ have not been revealed, what is rumoured is a tablet. Since the Chinese technology company has showed a growth in double digits in the tablet market, it may expand the portfolio even more with another Media Pad. What carries weight to this claim is that the tablet even showed up in Geekbench listing. As per the listing, the tablet sports an octa-core Kirin 960 SoC, 8.4-inch QHD display and 4GB RAM. The device is likely to come with Android 8.0 out of the box and support Cat. 4 LTE networks.

According to GSM Arena, Huawei could also debut its Huawei Pay feature. The first region to get this may be Europe. Another device rumoured is a new smartwatch, which could be the Watch 2’s successor, Watch 3.

Huawei is also rumoured to launch its ‘P20’ flagship smartphone this year but it is unlikely to see the light of the day later this month at MWC 2018.

Besides Huawei, three major brands that will have a presence at MWC 2018 are Samsung, Nokia and Sony. All three are planning to expand their smartphone portfolio. While Samsung will be launching its Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, Sony may bring the successor to its Xperia XZ1 Compact. Nokia is likely to launch its Nokia 6 (2018) for other regions in addition to Nokia 1 and Nokia 9, both of which are rumoured at this point.
