Huawei had released the Honor 6 Plus smartphone in December last year.
In the beginning of this month the phone was rumoured to release in India but there was no specified launch date.The Chinese company has finally announced the official launch date of the Honor 6 Plus. The phone will hit the Indian shelves on March 24 and will be sold exclusively by Flipkart, India’s biggest online retailer.Even though Huawei revealed the launch date, there was no confirmation regarding the price at which it will be launched. The device is currently available in China for a price of CNY 1,999 (Roughly Rs.20,000). Accordingly, the launch price in India should not exceed that amount.
The Honor 6 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution 1080×1920 which yields a pixel density of 401 ppi. The phone comes with an 8MP primary as well as secondary camera. The phone is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 925 chipset, which comes with an octa-core CPU that has four Cortex-A15 cores and four Cortex-A7 cores. For multi-tasking the phone comes with 3GB RAM. In terms of storage, the phone comes with 16GB internal memory and a MicroSD slot for further expansion. The phone runs on Huawei’s Emotion UI 3.0 which is a skinned version of Android KitKat 4.4.2.
