HP India on Thursday unveiled a new line of thin and light notebooks in its EliteBook lineup that it claims will herald “office of the future” by fulfilling business and personal requirements of the Indian customers.

The US-based computer manufacturer launched the HP EliteBook Folio, EliteBook Folio 1040 G3, and EliteBook 840, which starting prices of Rs. 1,28,000, Rs. 90,000, and Rs. 69,000 respectively. The company also launched the Elite x2 1012 2-in-1 laptop-tablet hybrid at a starting price of Rs. 95,000.

“At HP, we are pushing the envelope in design, productivity, security and entertainment to build innovative products for ‘One Life’,” Ketan Patel, Director (personal systems) HP India, told reporters in New Delhi.

At 12.4mm and under 1kg, the HP EliteBook Folio is claimed to be the thinnest and lightest business notebook from HP offering better security and manageability features.

The HP Elite x2 1012 supposedly offers the productivity of a full notebook with the convenience of a tablet. It is crafted from milled CNC aluminium and is just 8.1mm thin. The tablet weighs less than 840 grams and has a built-in kickstand with 150 degrees of adjustability, allowing a user to set the device upright for viewing and keyboard typing or laying it back for on-screen typing.

Speaking at the launch, Ketan Patel, Director, Personal Systems, HP Inc. India, said, “Not only do millennials want their device stylish and stunning, they also want to be sure it is secure enough for work and lets them collaborate effortlessly. At HP, we are constantly pushing the envelope in design, productivity, security and entertainment to build innovative products for ‘One Life’.”
