HCL Technologies Expands U.S. Operations with New CyberSecurity Center

HCL Technologies (HCL), a leading global technology company, today announced the launch of its CyberSecurity Fusion Center (CSFC) in Frisco, Texas. The opening of the CSFC represents the next phase in the company’s mission to support secure business growth by providing customers with a single point of contact for the enterprise security lifecycle, from detection to remediation. In addition, the CSFC reflects HCL’s commitment to the state of Texas and the city of Frisco, which have served as strategic partners to technology innovation and expansion.

In today’s digital age, technology requires fast and comprehensive IT security, and the CSFC comes with 20 years of security and engineering experience, more than 3500 certified analysts, and the experience of managing more than 350 Fortune 500 / Global 2000 clients. The CSFC takes a multi-dimensional approach to combat security risks using integrated Cyberthreat intelligence to monitor for better, faster detection and remediation of security incidents. The CSFC, powered by HCL’s Dynamic CyberSecurity Framework, analyzes millions of events per second and monitors multiple IT and OT systems making use of multiple Cyberthreat intelligence sources. With intelligence-driven security solutions and services provided in locations around the world, the CSFC adds to HCL’s world-class Cybersecurity operations.

The CSFC Inauguration featured Chief Guest U.S. Representative Van Taylor along with local dignitaries from the municipal, business, and educational communities. HCL Technologies was represented by Maninder Singh, Corporate Vice President, CyberSecurity Services; Arthur Filip, Executive Vice President of Sales Transformation and Marketing; and Joel Austin, Senior Vice President and Chief Digital Officer at Oncor Electric Delivery, an HCL customer. Attendees also included additional customers, partners, and members of the Texas business community, as well as HCL employees.

Additionally, members of the Collin College and University of North Texas faculties and communities were in attendance to commemorate the launch of a university-to-industry collaboration with HCL Technologies. As part of the relationship, HCL will conduct on-campus hackathons, overseen and coached by HCL executives, in which the top participants from winning teams at each school will be offered full-time jobs and advanced training at the company.

“Tomorrow’s digital organizations are becoming home to massive amounts of sensitive data and mission-critical applications,” said Maninder Singh, Corporate Vice President, CyberSecurity Services at HCL Technologies. “Our CSFC in Frisco is designed to defend our clients’ digital assets from security threats by leveraging intelligent, predictive, and adaptive systems. The Frisco facility is ideally located to attract and build the best pool of Cybersecurity experts and to serve our most demanding customers.”

“I’m excited to have a leading technology company like HCL Technologies focus their top talent in our Texas community,” said U.S. Representative Van Taylor. “We look forward to witnessing the positive impact the CSFC will have on the growth of the local community and in the ability to empower organizations across the nation to understand the importance of Cybersecurity and how to take action to protect their own assets.”

“As the technology industry in Texas continues to expand, we’re cognizant that Cybersecurity is an instrumental element to this successful growth,” said Texas Governor Greg Abbott.  “HCL Technologies has a storied history of supporting the Texas community. Four years ago, HCL opened their Global Delivery Center in Frisco, and we’re incredibly grateful and delighted to see that HCL has deepened its commitment within the state with the new CSFC to ensure the safety of companies in our local community.”

This launch comes as HCL celebrates 30 years in the United States, which started with its first U.S. office opening in Silicon Valley in 1989. Since then, HCL has expanded across the United States with a commitment to civic involvement in communities and hiring at the local level. The Global Delivery Center in Frisco houses some of HCL’s best engineers and IT professionals to service the rapidly growing number of customers across the country. Adding the CSFC to this technology powerhouse builds momentum to the collaborative efforts already underway. The Center provides next-generation IT services by leveraging innovative business models, advanced technology skills, and best practices from HCL’s global partners.

To commemorate the support of its customers and the government in this launch, HCL has made a donation to STEM for Her, an organization dedicated to creating awareness, excitement, and opportunities among girls and young women to pursue successful STEM-related careers.
