Government Launches Mobile App to Enable Citizens To file complaints

One can register as well as track complaints on a new Governmentmobile launched by the Public Grievances and Pensions Ministry. The app launched by Minister Jitendra Singh is meant for the Centralized Public Grievances Redress & Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) portal of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG).

Another step is offering M-access to citizens via mobile phones. A Quick Response (QR) code is there on the pg-portal for scanning on to the smartphone. After this the grievances can be sent directly from the smartphone to CPGRAMS. The app’s maker, Jitendra Singh stated, “this is another step towards translating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “ART of Governance” as spelt out by him, with A for Accountability, R for Responsibility and T for Transparency, forming the bedrock of the Government. He said the goal is that the Administration should be citizen-centric, transparent and responsive.

The Minister hopes that the public will make optimum use of the app as smartphones are the easiest way to communicate from anywhere in the country.

DARPG and Department of Pensions & Pensioners’ Welfare Secretary Devendra Chaudhary elaborated that the mobile app will not only permit filing of grievances, but allow people to track the status of the redress of their grievance. He stated that the DARPG is also conducting an analysis of the grievances and a systematic response on what is the best way to address it.
