Google Is going To Set Up Its Campus In Hyderabad

Google is going to set up its biggest campus outside of US Google-Logoin Hyderabad . Google is going to make an investment of $160 million (1,000) in the facility that will have an office area built on 2 million square feet on 7.2 acres in the high-tech city.

As per Jayesh Ranjan, secretary of IT, Electronics and Communications, “The government has already transferred land to the company, and the ground-breaking ceremony will be held in the first quarter of 2016.” He stated this to the media in the second annual CSR summit of Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA) that was held last week.

The campus is going to become operational in the first half of 2019. Google had wished to set up its campus in Hyderabad in 2007 and was allotted 20 acres of land. The project did not succeed owing to legal wrangles in the allotment of land.

In 2013, the government assigned another piece of land in Hyderabad which didn’t materialise either. As per HYSEA president Ramesh Loganathan, this lends a great deal of confidence to the industry as it will lead to generation of over thousands of jobs both direct as well as indirect apart from other IT opportunities.
