Google has tied-up with instant messaging & voice call app ‘LINE’ for The Grand Diwali Mela!

ITVoice News: Google has tied-up with immediate messaging and voice call app ‘LINE’ for – The Grand Diwali Mela. The contract reveals that Line would serve as an official messaging partner for online Diwali sale to help the participating brands to promote their deals and discounts using LINE services.

CQVO95400AM10212014Google’s Grand Diwali Mela started on 1 October and will continue till Diwali festival. The site involves all products ranging from automobiles, consumer durables, real estate, electronics, FMCG products, music, entertainment and much more. The sale is being supported by media partner Group M, which has linked up all the brands to this platform.

LINE was already involved in different promotional activities, being in partnership with brands Jabong, Flipkart and Groupon. It helped them to promote their services by reaching out to the customers with advertisements, deals and discounts via LINE platform.

Damandeep Singh Soni, India operations head at LINE noted that the partnership between Google and LINE goes way beyond Diwali sale. The companies are working closely to chalk out different plans to target many customers via chat platform.

The registered user base of LINE messaging services have reached over 30 million users recently in India. The instant messaging and voice call app is targeting to meet over 50 million-subscriber mark by the end of this fiscal year.
