Flipkart reaches out to customers with Holi greeting cards

This Holi, e-commerce giant Flipkart is sending festive postcards to its customers. Starting from March 20, any customer who has ordered from Flipkart or Myntra would be receiving a hand drawn Holi greeting card along with their order. This will be on till March 24.
The cards have been designed by children of a Bengaluru-based NGO, Parikrma. Through its last-mile logistics service E-Kart, the cards are expected to reach about 10 lakh customers in 9 cities.
Earlier this month, Flipkart launched  an online wallet—Flipkart Money—as it looks to make a push into the payments business. Flipkart Money would directly compete with the Alibaba-backed Paytm and Snapdeal’s Free charge.
This move comes at a time when Flipkart is expanding beyond its core business of online commerce. The e-tailer has been bolstering verticals like the ads business and has opened up its logistics platform E Kart to other e-commerce players in an attempt to monetize newer avenues.
