FAIITA Will Be united single voice of IT industry

The National IT association for hardware dealers FAIITA is in the verge of champakraj_itvoicetransforming itself into a national body and is looking at making it the umbrella association for all the other IT associations in India.

The first national president of the association Champak Raj Gurjar, also ex-president of Mumbai based TAIT said that he wanted it to be the united single voice of IT industry. “It is correctly said ‘united we stand, divided we fall’ and thus make I want to make this platform as united single voice of IT industry,” he said.

On the government front, Gurjar is planning to draft a policy which would favor all layers including small time IT players. He is also strongly focusing for ‘Make in India’ campaign. He also stresses the need for cooperation and regular meetings with overseas suppliers and their country’s trade promotion organisations.

To create a level playing field and a win-win situation for all, he says the FAIITA will have regular meetings with representatives of National Distributors and streamline the process.

On market challenges

“We had been successful to a large extent on BIS certification and would take it forward so that the IT Trade fraternity is not facing hardships,” he said adding that the association will meet all Central and State IT ministries or representatives regularly to have beneficial policy.

He also said that not just unethical pricing online, FAIITA will focus on all issues faced by IT fraternity .

About the registration and taking the association forward, he said that national level organization was formed few days ago and the registration process has started.

On the confusions among the member-associations on what the role of the national association, he said “The national association will overview the matters concerning in general and the communication on the same will be sent in due course through the respective territorial associations.”
