Epson launches first A3 size multifunctional InkTank printer L1455 at Rs 70,899

Japanese electronics company Epson has launched its first A3 size multifunctional InkTank printer – L1455 – today for the Indian market. Priced at Rs 70,899, the printer will be available starting this month and will come with a warranty of 1 year or 80,000 Pages whichever is earlier.
The L1455 is targeted at office and commercial environments and is claimed to print larger and clearer documents. It can produce prints having resolution as high as 4800 dpi. For connectivity, the L1455 offers a 4.3-inch color touchscreen LCD, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct* and USB 2.0.
Epson L1455 supports automatic duplex printing to reduce paper wastage. It is equipped with a 35-sheet ADF unit for scanning and copying of multi-page documents. It is powered by PrecisionCore technology and prints at a speed up to 18 images per minute for A4 & 10ipm for A3 sized documents. The L1455 also supports automatic duplex printing up to 8.7ipm for A4.
Epson claims that the costs per print with the L655 is as low as 12 Paise (Black and White) and 20 Paise (Colour).
Commenting on the launch of the printer, Siva Kumar, General Manager, Inkjet Printers said “With the launch of Epson L1455, we have further strengthened our L-series range. The new model is designed to meet the demands of office printing and takes productivity to the next level with the ability to print documents up to A3+ size at high speeds. The L1455 integrates into any office through its complete suite of connectivity features. We believe Epson InkTank printers will continue to replace laser printers and become more preferred and widely accepted for printing in office environments”
Last year, Epson had launched what they claim is the world’s lightest and smallest wireless mobile printer. Called Epson WorkForce WF-100, the printer is priced at Rs 20,999 and is said to be aimed at professionals on-the-go. The Epson WorkForce WF-100 comes with built-in wireless connectivity, Wi-Fi Direct and an integrated rechargeable battery.
