Epson has retained the top position in the Indian Projector Market according to Cyber Media Research (CMR) for the period 1H FY15-16.
According to CMR report, Epson registered consistent growth in education, business and home segments. The company has 24% market share in India in terms of unit shipments and 27% market share in terms of revenue.
The company recorded 6% growth in volume and 7% in revenue in 1H FY15-16. The digital projector market in the country recorded revenue of Rs 3,527 million during the period and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 7% from FY2015-16 to FY2020-21.
Going forward, Epson sees potential in the home consumer and education segments. The company is aggressively focussing on increasing penetration across all segments through its strong channel and distribution network.
