Elon Musk will ‘uncage’ Twitter’s blue bird, shares new logo design

Elon Musk has made significant changes to Twitter since taking over the platform in October. In what could be considered the most substantial update during his tenure, the billionaire is not only changing the logo but also rebranding the microblogging website.
In a tweet, Musk announced that the Twitter brand will soon be bid farewell, and along with it, the iconic birds associated with the platform. The new brand name will be X, a concept he had previously mentioned after acquiring the company. Additionally, Musk has named the parent company of Twitter as X Corp, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of X Holdings Corp, both of which are owned by Musk himself.
Elon Musk recently announced significant changes to Twitter, including a rebranding and logo update. In a tweet, he mentioned that if a suitable X logo is posted, it will go live worldwide the next day. He shared a photo of the blue bird with a black background, suggesting the new logo would represent the imperfections that make individuals unique.
Shortly after, Musk posted a short clip that may be the new logo for Twitter. In the clip, the blue bird transforms into a bright, glowing ‘X’. During a Twitter Spaces session, Musk confirmed that the Twitter logo will indeed change, expressing that it should have been done earlier.
This logo change aligns with Musk’s vision of turning Twitter into a “super app” similar to China’s WeChat, providing messaging, payment, and other features.
The decision to rebrand comes amid the launch of Meta Platforms’ Threads, a rival platform similar to Instagram. Threads initially gained significant traction, but recent reports indicate a decline in user engagement.
