While there have been no details as to why EA has chosen to shave off the dollars on the titles, it is a big bonus for those who have been waiting for a sale from the video game maker. Some of the titles which costed as much as $10 (approximately Rs. 620), are now available for as little as $0.99 (approximately Rs. 62).

The games which have gone on sale belong to different genres. Some of the genres include board games, driving, first person shooting, platform scroller, role playing games, shooter, skill, sports amongst others. The games are available for the iPhone, iPod, and the iPad.

Some of the major EA titles that seen price slashes include Dead Space (down from $9.99 to $0.99), Mirror’s Edge (down from $9.99 to $0.99), NBA Jam (down from $4.99 to $0.99), Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (down from $4.99 to $0.99), Need for Speed: Most Wanted (down from $4.99 to $0.99), SimCity Deluxe (down from $8.99 to $0.99), The Game of Life (down from $6.99 to $0.99) amongst others.

As mentioned, there are no details available as to why EA is holding the sale, though it could very well be the company’s summer sale on the iOS platform. There are also no details about when the special pricing may end. As of now, all that can be said is gamers across the world can flood the store to download the titles till the offer lasts.
