Demand For Linux Foundation Certification Increases!

ITVoice News: As per the current study, the demand for Linux job continues to increase. According to recent report by Dice, 93 percent employers are looking to hire Linux professionals. The best to way to increase the probability of getting Linux jobs is Linux Foundation’s Certification exams. As of now, Linux Foundation has two attractive certification- Certified SysAdmin (LFCS) and Certified Engineer (LFCE).

Dan Brown, Marketing Manager at Linux Foundation says, “The basic online class for SysAdmin exam– Intro to Linux Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) has over 270,000 registered candidates from 100+ countries all over the world.”

Linux Foundation’s certification exams are one level higher than the Linux Professional Institute (LPI) certifications. Linux Foundation certifications are as designed as high level as Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).

LF Certification exams are not easy to pass. The success rate of these exams is below 60 per cent but it’s highly recommended certification course by those who have already taken the exam. The exam is held from a Linux shell. There are online guides that help you succeed in LF Certification exams. A free preparation guide is available on Linux Foundation’s website as well.

 Amanda McPherson, CMO of Linux Foundation says, “You can schedule the exam date while signing up for the exam. You can also choose the date when you think you’re ready to give the exam. A candidate gets 12 months to take the online exam from the date of singing up for the exam. Candidate can freely give as much time as needed to prepare for the exam.”

Linux Foundation is publishing the experience stories of various people who took these exams. It’s helpful to listen to people’s experiences before getting ready for the exam. Linux Foundation has variety of exams based on OS environment specific. More than 50 per cent candidates choose Ubuntu while 45 per cent choose CentOS while, only 5 per cent choose openSUSE for LFCS. The certified candidates receive designation certificate that can be used in resumes, LinkedIn profile and other online media by the candidate. The one time cost of LFCS and LFCE is $300 each.
