Dell launches the world’s first 32-inch 8K monitor at CES 2017

56371350Electronics major Dell launched a range of new laptops in its Alienware, Latitude and XPS series. At the CES 2017 conference, the company has also introduced, what it claims is the world’s first 32-inch 8K resolution monitor. Apart from this, it has also launched other monitors with InfinityEdge technology.

The release dates and prices for products the company plans to release are as follows:

  • UltraSharp 32 Ultra HD 8K Monitor (UP3218K), priced at priced at $4,999, will be available in the US starting March 23
  • Ultrathin 27 Monitor (S2718D) will be available on the same date sporting a starting price tag of $699.99
  • Touch Monitor 24 (P2418HT) will hit shelves in the US this month priced at $399.99
  • Monitor for Video Conferencing 24 (P2418HZ) will arrive at the same time at a starting price of $329.99.
  • Monitor 22 (S2218H), Monitor 23 (S2318HX), InfinityEdge Monitor 24 (S2418HX), and InfinityEdge Monitor 27 (S2718HX) will arrive next month carrying price tags of $199.99, $219.99, $289.99, and $379.99 respectively.The Dell UltraSharp 32 Ultra HD 8K Monitor (UP3218K) shows content in 33.2 million pixels resolution. It also features Dell PremierColor, said to offer 1.07 billion colours, 100% Adobe RGB with 100% sRGB, and 280ppi pixel density for enhanced viewing experience. The Dell Ultrathin Monitor 27 (S2718D) comes with QHD resolution masterdisplay and USB Type-C connectivity. The monitor is supported by a slim base. Besides including a HDR feature, the ultrathin monitor also features ComfortView and an all-in-one cable management system. The Dell Touch Monitor 24 (P2418HT) has an anti-glare touch screen with 10-point touch. The height of the monitor is adjustable and users can tilt or turn the monitors as well. The Dell Monitor for Video Conferencing 24 has a built-in 2MP Full HD IR camera with noise-cancelling microphone and dual 5W speakers. As for the rest of the monitors, Dell says that its Dell 24 and 27 Monitors (S2418HX/S2718HX) are the first consumer monitors to offer InfinityEdge display. Both feature dual 6W external speakers tuned by Waves Maxx Audio as well. The Dell 22 and 23 Monitors (S2218H/S2318HX) on the other hand feature three-sided ultrathin bezels along with 3W built-in speakers.
