Dell Launches Optiplex Micro Desktop PCs in India, Starting Rs. 26,799

dell optiplex 3020 9020 micro pc desktopDell on Wednesday launched its Optiplex Micro Desktop PCs for Indian enterprises with a starting price of Rs. 26,799.

The Optiplex Micro Desktop PCs include two models namely OptiPlex 9020 and OptiPlex 3020. Available in India from this month, the starting prices of the Micro Desktop PCs are Rs. 26,799 (Ubuntu) and Rs. 35,399 (Windows 8 Pro).

Both the compact desktop PCs feature a 1.2 litres chassis small form factor design, which the company claims is 67 percent smaller than Dell’s smallest regular desktop, and is specially made for small workplaces.

Both the OptiPlex 9020 and OptiPlex 3020 Micro Desktop PCs come with six mounting options namely Vertical Stand, VESA Wall Mount, VESA Under Desk Mount, Dual VESA Mount, Behind Monitor Mount and Console with ODD.

As for specifications, both the Optiplex Micro Desktop PCs come in Intel Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, Celeron Dual Core and Pentium Dual Core processor options.

Both the compact desktop PC models come with a choice of operating systems, from Windows 7 Professional (32 and 64-bit), Windows 8.1, Windows 8.1 Pro, Windows 8.1 Single Language (English), and Ubuntu Linux 12.04.

The RAM options included for both the Optiplex Micro Desktop PCs are 2GB, 4GB and 8GB of DDR3L (all at 1600MHz). However, the OptiPlex 9020 comes with an additional option for 16GB (2x8GB) 1600MHz DDR3L RAM.

Both the Optiplex Micro Desktop PC models come with 500GB SSHD, 500GB (7200RPM) HDD or 1TB (5400RPM) of HDD storage options. In addition, while the OptiPlex 9020 runs on Intel Q87 Express chipset, the OptiPlex 3020 runs on Intel H81 chipset. Both machines feature extended connectivity options with 4xUSB 3.0, 2xUSB 2.0, global headset jack, audio out, DisplayPort, and RJ-45 ports.
