Dell for Entrepreneurs Women’s Summit Heads to Berlin for 6th Annual Global Event

Dell announced the location for its sixth annual Dell for Entrepreneurs Sixth Annual Global EventWomen’s Summit, formerly known as the Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Network Conference, an exclusive invitation-only conference for female entrepreneurs globally, convening June 28-30 in Berlin, Germany.

The Summit will join more than 200 of the world’s top female entrepreneurs, business leaders and media to share insights and best practices as part of a vibrant entrepreneurial community.

The conference was previously hosted in the emerging entrepreneurial hotbeds of Shanghai, Rio de Janeiro, New Delhi, and Istanbul, and most recently Dell’s hometown of Austin, Texas. Programming will be centered on the impact that women-owned businesses are having on the global economy, focusing on why 2015 will be a break-out year for women in leadership.

In recent years, Germany has become a global source for innovation – it is the largest national economy in Europe and is ranked in the top five countries to be a female entrepreneur out of the 30 countries surveyed in the Dell-commissioned Gender-Global Entrepreneurship Development Index 2014 rankings. Berlin’s 3.4 million residents make it the country’s largest city and a thriving center for culture, politics, science and media. As Germany’s capital under female leadership, Berlin sets a unique stage for a dialogue to advance women’s global economic impact.

“It’s a well-established fact that, as a country starts to come out of downturn, growing businesses play a critical role in helping to stimulate the economy and increasing overall business confidence. With the economy on a positive upswing in Europe, I can’t think of a better location for such a diverse group of global entrepreneurs and thought leaders to meet. The economic growth in Germany provides an ideal backdrop for this year’s summit and is the perfect setting to discuss business issues and how to plan for future growth,” said Aongus Hegarty, president Dell Europe, Middle East and Africa.
