Coolpad to launch new smartphone in India on March 16

Coolpad is all set to launch a new smartphone in India. The company has sent out media invites for an event scheduled for March 16, where it will likely unveil the Coolpad Conjr. The invite reads, “Experience the power of small.”
First launched at CES 2017, Coolpad Conjr will be available in Gold and Iron Grey colour options.
The dual-SIM Coolpad Conjr runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Cool UI skin layer. The company hasn’t yet revealed yet whether it’ll be updated to Nougat or not.
The handset features a 5-inch IPS HD display of 720×1280 pixel resolution. Under the hood, it’s powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735P chipset paired with 3GB of RAM. There’s 16GB of internal storage, with support for microSD cards of up to 64GB in size.
For imaging, the smartphone features a 13MP autofocus rear camera with f/2.2 aperture. An 8MP front-facing shooter is there as well.
On the connectivity front, Coolpad Conjr includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.1, 4G LTE and GPS. It backed by a 2,500mAh battery, which is claimed to deliver up to 30 hours of talk time on 4G LTE. The handset also has a fingerprint sensor at the back.
Last year, Coolpad launched its Cool1 smartphone in India. Priced at Rs 13,999, the smartphone is one of the cheapest Android devices to come with a dual rear camera setup.
