New Delhi, India – June 24, 2015

Radware, a leading provider of application delivery and application security solutions for virtual and cloud data centers, has announced that it has been assigned by Cisco Systems, to provide its distributed denial of service (DDoS) mitigation technology for the new Cisco Firepower 9300 appliance designed for service providers.

Cisco Systems selected Radware’s DDoS mitigation technology as it correctly identifies and reduces cyber threats, especially those targeting application availability and it does so in the shortest amount of time. Radware’s DDoS mitigation technology is a real-time, behavioral based, mitigation solution that helps protect against security threats targeted at the availability of the protected service, without blocking legitimate user traffic.

“We are excited to be a part of Cisco’s next generation security platform – the Firepower 9300 appliance,” says Mr Nikhil Taneja, Country Manager and Regional Director, India and SAARC. “By incorporating Radware’s DDoS protection on the Firepower 9300 with Cisco’s unique security approach, a more threat centric solution will be available to the service providers, including advanced firewalling, DDoS protection, and other security protection services.” adds Mr Taneja.

RAH Infotech, a specialized VAD focused on Enterprise & Application Security and Application Delivery, is a distributor of Radware products in India. It adds value to its partners and resellers by distributing the entire product line of Radware which helps the customers through Load Balancing and ADoS (Advanced Denial of Service) & DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) protection.

Mr Ashok Kumar, MD and CEO, RAH Infotech says, “Cisco’s threat centric security solutions bundled with DDoS mitigation powered by Radware on the Firepower 9300 appliance, will help detect aberrant activity on the network and protect service providers, their customers and their data from advanced threats – before, during and after an attack.”

Through this tightly integrated security approach, Cisco can provide enhanced agility by allowing security to dynamically follow workloads and data flows through open and programmable networks. This can help service providers avoid problems traditional security service silos present.

“We are happy to have partnered with Cisco in order to provide them with a robust DDoS protection solution that they’ve integrated into their new product line,” says Mr Jack Sorci, Vice President of Business Development for Radware. “This partnership furthers our cooperation with Cisco around its key data center initiatives with our application delivery and security solutions for ACI, UCS and SDN.” adds Mr Sorci.
