Chrome 44 Brings The Physical Web To iOS Platform

Google has just unveiled Chrome 44 for iOS. Interestingly, the update for iOS provides support for the firm’s Physical google chrome access windows os vmwareWeb project, which happens to be an open source technology assisting users to make contextual interactions.

According to the latest reports, the new version has an interesting feature which enables smart devices to interact with smartphones without downloading additional applications, which means that users would be able to communicate though Web technologies using Chrome widget from ‘Today View’ on iOS.

As per a report published in Chromium Blog, the latest version of iOS blends the Physical Web into the Chrome Today widget, allowing users to access an on-demand list of Web content related to their surroundings.

It further suggests that the Chrome widget scans for smartdevices supporting Physical Web communications by broadcasting URLs.

Additionally, new Chrome 44 comes with a new swipe gesture feature which could easily navigate throughout the app. One can return by swiping from left to right and move forward by swiping from right to left, while browsing pages in a single tab. The new version of Chrome is expected to release for Android in the days to come.
