In order to expand its Campus series, Indian mobile handset company Celkon has recently introduced a pocket-friendly handset named Campus A359. Priced at Rs. 2350, the phone is said to be one of the cheapest Android KitKat-based smartphones in India. Last month, Celkon had launched Campus A518 for Rs. 4500
Campus A359 comes with a 9cm (3.5 inch) HVGA display with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. The phone has 256MB RAM and 512MB ROM which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD. Campus A359 relies on a 1GHz single-core Spreadtrum (SC7715) and runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. Powered by a 1200 mAh battery, it weighs 96 grams.
The 3G-enabled smartphone’s connectivity options also include GPRS/EDGE, Wi-FI 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth. Featuring a 2MP rear camera with LED flash and no secondary camera, the handset will be available exclusively via Homeshop18 in black and blue.
