Casio To Launch First Smartwatch In March

Casio’s smartwatch, the Smart Outdoor Watch WSD-F10 is the first Android watch. You can take it to outdoors, its Casiowater-resistant to 50 metres with MSL-STD-810 US military compliance, and has a compass and accelerometer. It has 1.32-inch 320 x 300 screen with a dual-layer LCD. It has a monochrome mode extending battery life from over a day to over a month.

To get full-color mode, it has developed special watch faces knows as “tools” offering handy access to the Smart Outdoor Watch’s sensors and other important information. One can check the altitude, air pressure, compass direction, tide graphs, sunrise and sunset times, and their own activity. Their is also a dedicated button that allows one to easily switch between each tool even while wearing gloves.

The smartwatch has a 61.7mm × 56.4mm × 15.7mm case and is available in a black finish. It is also available in orange, red, or army green models. Apart from Casio’s own software, the watch also comes loaded with apps from partners including RunKeeper, ViewRanger, and MyRadar. The watch will be priced at Rs 33,362 and will be available in United States in early April after its launch in Japan in March this year.
