BSNL launches Holi Dhamaka plan at Rs 399, offers 30GB data

State-owned telecom operator BSNL has rolled out a new plan for its postpaid users. The telco has launched a postpaid plan called Holi Dhamaka at Rs 399.
The Rs 399 postpaid plan from BSNL offers unlimited local, STD and roaming calls with 30GB data. The BSNL users can get this new plan starting today. The service provider has not put any daily limit on the data usage.

R.K.Mittal, director (CM) BSNL Board, said, “this postpaid offering with unlimited calling and 30 GB data @ Rs. 399/- per month is one of the best in the industry.This extremely competitive and economical postpaid plan is for our existing & new customers. We are committed to provide affordable and efficient services to our customers.”

The plan will compete against the Rs 399 plan of Airtel and Vodafone. Under the Rs 399 plan, the companies offers unlimited calling benefits with 100 SMS per day and 20GB data. On the other hand, Idea Cellular also offers similar benefits under the plan of Rs 389. Reliance Jio also has a Rs 409 plan under which it offers unlimited calling and 30GB data.

Recently, BSNL revealed that it has discontinued some of its prepaid plans which include the data Special Tariff Vouchers (STV) and combo STV. The list of plans which the company has discontinued include STV plans of Rs 398, Rs 629, Rs 2,399, Rs 821 and Rs 1,949, whereas prepaid combo STVs are Rs 3,099 and Rs 1,402. The telecom operator confirmed that it has withdrawn seven prepaid plans across different telecom circles.
