Binatone Telecom Starts manufacturing Plant In India 

Binatone Telecom, a British communications company binatonethat commenced operations in 1958 as an importer and distributor of consumer electronics goods has its eyes set on the Indian market.

The company is planning to aquire $100 million business by 2020 and is on its way to set up a manufacturing base in India by March 2016. Currently, India is contributing $30 million to the company’s global business which stands at $1 billion.

Binatone is setting up its manufacturing facility in Gurgaon for producing wireline broadband products including switches, routers and modems. It also has the official licensee of Motorola Mobility for designing and manufacturing of mobile accessory products like mono and stereo Bluetooth headsets, wireless speakers and car connectivity products.

According to Surendra Pratap Singh, Binatone India’s managing director, “We are a $1billion company. India contributes nearly $30 million to overall business and we aim to surge our market share in the country that could help us garner $100 million by 2020.”

According to Mr Singh, Binatone is aiming at India to be a good market for production and sale of wired broadband products during Narendra Modi government’s prestigious Make in India initiative.
