BICSI India Concludes 2015 District Conference At Bangalore

Focused technology sessions addressed wide range of ICT Infrastructure Solutions

BICSI, the premier association supporting advancements in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) community, BICSI India Conference 1 2015concluded the Bangalore Chapter of BICSI India District Conference & Exhibition 2015. The symposium was graced with the presence of Smt. V Manjula, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of IT, BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka and Lt. General Dr. S P Kochhar (retd) AVSM**, SM, VSM, Chief Executive Officer, Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC).

Over 400 delegates representing various ICT organizations participated in the day-long conference that covered topics on Data Centers, Enterprise Cabling & Testing, ICT Standards, Surveillance & Security, and Smart Cities. Focused sessions on ICT Infrastructure opportunities and best practices by industry leaders were the key highlights. The symposium created a perfect platform for the attending delegates. There were a series of technology sessions discussing key trends in the ICT Infrastructure domain, showcasing opportunities ahead, jointly addressed by 10 plus speakers.

Chief Guest at the conference, Smt. V Manjula, reiterated the government’s vision of inclusive and sustainable development, synergy with industry bodies to nurture the ecosystem (with special focus on ICT and manufacturing sector), skill enhancement and creation of large employment opportunities.

Keynote speaker at the conference, Lt. General Dr. S P Kochhar (retd), highlighted the focus of TSSC in nurturing the right ICT skill set, skill enhancement and certification by establishing skilling centres and delivering programmes on design and installation to meet the demands of the ICT industry.
