Bangalore based HHV bags prestigious order from Kuwait Institute of Scientific Research!

Order for complex high vacuum heat treatment furnace marks HHV’s foray into the Middle East market

Bangalore based Hind High Vacuum Co. Pvt. Ltd. (HHV), announced that it has bagged a prestigious order from Kuwait Institute of Scientific Research (KISR), for installation of a complex high vacuum heat treatment furnace. KISR is actively involved in the promotion of scientific and applied research, particularly in matters related to industry, natural and food resources and other primary constituents of national economy, in an endeavour to serve the goals of economic, technological and scientific development, and to advise the government on scientific matters and on scientific policy issues.

HHV_Complex High Vacuum Heat Treatment FurnaceProbably the largest vacuum heat treatment furnace to be installed in the Middle East, this horizontal type, automated, high vacuum (1×10-5mbar) annealing furnace has an 1850mm inner diameter and a cylindrical length of 3400mm. This furnace would be primarily used by KISR in their R&D processes and would be one of the key vacuum material processing equipment to study the metal components to achieve a desired microstructure and mechanical properties. The vacuum furnace has been designed for an operating temperature of 1200 deg.C within 80 minutes from room temperature with full charge weight.

Established in 1965 at Bangalore to develop Indian self-reliance in high vacuum technology, HHV has now grown into a leading global player involved in the design, development and manufacture of off-the-shelf and customized equipment and products based on Vacuum science & Technology.

It is a privilege for HHV to be recognised by KISR, having placed an order for such a large size, complex heat treatment vacuum furnace. More than 4 decades of experience in innovative design and development of vacuum equipment has helped make HHV the market leader in the vacuum heat treating industrysaid Mr Nagarjun Sakhamuri, Managing Director of HHV. “This is a major accomplishment for HHV and our team at Bangalore, as this also marks our foray into the Middle East market where we see huge potential for our equipment and systems involving high vacuum”.

HHV pioneered the development of high vacuum technology in India more than 47 years ago and is now a leading global vendor of equipment and systems involving high vacuum. Its products find application in a variety of high tech industries. The wide variety of applications for which HHV’s vacuum equipment is used include heat treatment , brazing, induction casting and melting, diffusion bonding of dissimilar metals, ARC re-melting, solution cum ageing, CVD/CVI, directional solidification, impregnation, metallization, deposition and several others.

As an innovative design, and manufacturing company, HHV builds state-of-the-art vacuum equipment with process know-how and total automation facility. With its contributions, it has been acknowledged as the basic backbone in developing indigenous vacuum equipment by almost all major industries and research laboratories.
