Avnet India is “Great Place to Work Certified” for Second Year

Avnet India has been certified as a Great Workplace for the second consecutive year. The recognition was based on a rigorous assessment by Great Place to Work® Institute, considered the Gold standard in workplace culture assessment and recognition globally.

As part of the assessment, Great Place to Work Institute consolidated feedback from Avnet India’s employees and measured their perceptions using Great Place to Work’s proprietary framework, Trust Index© that surveys employees anonymously. Participating companies were evaluated on several factors such as: credibility of the management, respect for people, fairness at workplace, workplace culture, including the level of trust they feel towards leaders, the pride they take in their jobs, and the camaraderie they experience with co-workers. The second aspect studied by the Institute was the evaluation of people practices through their proprietary framework, Culture Audit© that covers several areas such as: hiring, speaking, listening, inspiring, and sharing. Avnet India scored an overwhelming 80 percent or higher in all criteria listed by Great Place to Work based on employees’ surveys.

Commenting on the recognition, Ramani Sundaresan, Managing Director, Avnet India said, “We are very proud to be certified as a Great Place to Work for the second year in a row. This is important recognition and validates that culture is our competitive advantage at Avnet. Through education and inspiration, we ensure that everyone in the organization has an opportunity to make a difference.”

“Congratulations Avnet India on building a workplace with a High-Trust, High-Performance CultureTM. Getting Great Place to Work Certified reflects the focus and dedication of Avnet leadership in providing a thriving environment to their employees — an environment which encourages them to innovate, collaborate and achieve excellence in their field of work. Every year, more than 10,000 organizations partner with Great Place to Work globally, and only the organizations that meet the defined criteria are certified as a great workplace,” said Preeti Malhotra, Practice Head at Great Place to Work Institute India.

This certification recognizes the diversity and inclusion that is an integral part of Avnet’s culture. Programs and policies at Avnet are designed to ensure employee well-being and fulfillment.
