Asus has launched its Zenfone 3 series of smartphones at Asus ZenfoneComputex 2016. The Taiwanese manufacturer has now added two new smartphones to the series with the launch of Zenfone 3 Laser and Zenfone 3 Max in Vietnam. As the names suggest, the handsets are the successors to Zenfone Laser 2 and Zenfone Max respectively.

Asus Zenfone 3 Laser features a 5.5-inch Full HD 2.5D curved display with 1080×1920 pixel resolution. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. It offers 32GB of internal storage and fingerprint support. The Zenfone 3 Laser sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and electronic image stabilisation.

On the other hand, Asus Zenfone 3 Max has a 5.2-inch 2.5D curved IPS display and flaunts a metal body and support for reverse-charging. The handset packs a 4,100 mAh battery, and according to the company can offer 20 hours of talktime.

Asus took wraps off its Zenfone 3 series at Computex earlier this year.

Last month, Asus launched the budget smartphone Zenfone Pegasus 3 in China. Running ZenUI 3.0 baked on top on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the dual-sim Pegasus 3 sports a metal build. It includes a 5.2-inch HD display with 2.5D curved screen and a finger-print scanner at the back.

As for innards, Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3 packs an unspecified octa-core processor. It has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing shooter. The smartphone supports 4G LTE and VoLTE and packs a 4100mAh battery.
