Asus X00ID smartphone spotted online, to sport dual-rear camera setup

A new Asus smartphone has appeared on benchmarking website GFXBench. As per the listing, the upcoming smartphone — dubbed Asus X00ID — will be powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It will come with 32GB internal storage which can be further expanded via microSD card.
The smartphone will feature a dual rear camera setup with one 12MP and 5MP camera modules. There is also an 8MP front shooter. The smartphone will sport a 5.5-inch display.
Recently, Asus started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update for its Zenfone 3 smartphone. The update is available for both Zenfone 3 models – ZE552KL and ZE520KL, and introduces a host of new features and enhancements. These include smart notification management and replying options, 72 new emoji characters, multi-window view with quick switching between apps, better 3D graphic performance with Vulkan API, new virtual reality mode for Daydream-supporting handsets, improved battery-saving Doze feature, data saver, display size adjustment and file-based encryption, among others.
Asus launched Zenfone 3 smartphone in India, back in August last year. Available in two screen size variants, the 5.2-inch version costs Rs 21,999 while the 5.5-inch display variant bears a price tag of Rs 27,999.
The Zenfone 3 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, with support for microSD cards.
The dual-SIM smartphone has a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and an 8MP front-facing shooter for selfies. Major connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type-C, with a 3,000mAh battery rounding off the spec sheet.
