Following the footsteps of Lenovo and D-Link, Asus has urged customers to buy its products from authorized partners or retailers and has warned against purchases from the online portals.

Even though, there is no official communication to the media from the company, Channel Times accessed a mail that is being circulated amongst the channel community. It said: “Asus India does not assure the genuineness of Asus branded notebook and tablets and also does not assure the validity of the warranty on those products being sold by any of sellers through e-commerce websites like snapdeal.com, eabay.in and amazon.in etc.”

It is notable that Asus hasn’t mentioned Flipkart in the communication, because the e-portal has been announced as the official e-partner to sell their latest Google Nexus 7 in India.
