Asus at Computex 2015 has unveiled a range of tablets in its new ZenPad series. Unfortunately, Asus for now has not provided pricing or availability about the new tablets. The company at the event also launched the ZenFone Selfie and the ZenWatch 2.

The new tablets include the 7-inch ZenPad 7.0 (Z370C/CG/CL), the 7-inch ZenPad C 7.0 (Z170C/CL), the 8-inch ZenPad 8.0 (Z380C/KL), ZenPad S 8.0 (Z580C/CA) with optional (Z Stylus, and the 10-inch ZenPad 10 (Z300C/CG/CL) with an optional keyboard. All tablets come in Wi-Fi and LTE/3G connectivity variants, with some also featuring voice calling support. All the Asus ZenPad tablets come with the IPS display technology coupled with Asus Tru2Life and TruVivid image processing. The tables also feature DTS Premium Sound and DTS Sound Studio, and run Android 5.0 Lollipop skinned with Asus Zen UI.

The ZenPad 8.0 is claimed by the company to be the first tablet to feature an interchangeable cover design that lets users customise with functional back covers, including the Zen Clutch carrying and protection case; the Zen Case which features a leather texture and choice of five colours; the Audio Cover for 5.1-channel surround sound, and the Power Case, which extends the battery life to up to 15 hours.

The ZenPad 8.0 (Z380KL) comes with LTE connectivity, while the ZenPad 8.0 (Z380C) is the Wi-Fi-only model. The ZenPad 8.0 (Z380C) features an 8-inch 1280×800 pixel LED-backlit IPS display, and runs on a 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom x3-C3200 processor, with a choice of 1GB or 2GB of RAM, and a choice of 8GB or 16GB of storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB).

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, GPS, and Glonass. It bears a 2-megapixel front camera, and a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus. Available in Black, White, and Aurora Metallic colour variants, the ZenPad 8.0 (Z380C) measures 209x123x8.5 mm, and weighs 350 grams. Its 15.2Wh battery is rated to deliver up to 9 hours of battery life.

The Asus ZenPad 8.0 (Z380KL) is identical to the ZenPad 8.0 Z380C, however, it features 4G LTE connectivity in addition coupled with a Micro-SIM card slot, and a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) SoC. Connectivity options include A-GPS in addition, while the same battery is rated to deliver up to 10 hours of battery life on this model.

Next up, is the ZenPad S 8.0 (Z580CA), which comes with a USB Type-C port, is just 6.68mm thick, and weighs 299 grams. It features an 8-inch 2048×1536 pixel (QXGA) IPS display with a pixel density of 324ppi. It is powered by a 64-bit 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor coupled with 2GB or 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM. It comes with a choice of 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB built-in storage variants with expandability support via microSD card (up to 128GB).

The ZenPad S 8.0 (Z580CA) sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, while its connectivity options include GPS, Glonass, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE. It measures 203.2×134.5×6.68mm. The ZenPad S 8.0 (Z580CA) also comes with an optional Z Stylus, which supports up to 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity and up to a 1.2mm writing tip. It features a 15.2Wh battery that’s rated to deliver up to 8 hours of battery life.

The Asus ZenPad S 8.0 (Z580C) is identical to the ZenPad S 8.0 (Z580CA), except it comes with a 64-bit 1.33GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3530, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, Micro-USB instead of USB Type-C, no 4GB of RAM option, weighs more at 319 grams, and measures in at 203.2×134.5×6.9mm. It also sports a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

Asus also launched the ZenPad 10 (Z300C), which features an optional keyboard. The tablet sports a 10.1-inch 1280×800 pixel LED-backlit IPS display, and is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom x3-C3200 processor combined with a choice of 1GB or 2GB of RAM, and choice of inbuilt storage variants from 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB with storage expandability via microSD card (up to 64GB). Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, GPS and Glonass.

One model of the ZenPad 10 (Z300C) comes with a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera and 2-megapixel rear camera, while another comes with 2-megapixel front camera, and a 5-megapixel rear camera. The tablet measures 251.6x172x7.9mm, and weighs 500 grams. It features an 18Wh battery rated to deliver up to 8 hours of battery life. Colours include Black, White, and Aurora Metallic.

The Asus ZenPad 10 (Z300CL) is identical to the ZenPad 10 (Z300C), however, it has an unspecified processor, comes with only a 2GB of RAM variant, an additional 64GB built-in storage variant, 4G LTE (Micro-SIM) connectivity, a slightly improved battery life of 9 hours, and an increased weight of 510 grams. It comes with 2-megapixel front camera, and a 5-megapixel rear camera.

The Asus ZenPad 10 (Z300CG) on the other hand is identical to the ZenPad 10 (Z300C), however, it comes with only a 1GB of RAM variant, 3G (Micro-SIM), and an increased weight of 510 grams. It comes with 0.3-megapixel front camera, and a 2-megapixel rear camera.

Coming to the ZenPad 7.0 (Z370C), which features a 7-inch 1280×800 pixel LED-backlit IPS display, and is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom x3-C3200 processor, coupled with a choice of 1GB or 2GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB or 16GB of built-in storage that’s expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, and GPS/ A-GPS. It features a 0.3-megapixel front camera, and a 5-megapixel rear camera. Available in Black, White, and Aurora Metallic colours, it measures 189×110.9×8.7mm, and weighs 272 grams.

The Asus ZenPad 7.0 (Z370CG) is identical to the ZenPad 7.0 (Z370C); however, it features a Micro-SIM card slot for 3G connectivity. It comes with a choice of 0.3-megapixel front camera and 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, or a 2-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus. The Asus ZenPad 7.0 (Z370CL), though announced but not yet listed on the company site, will probably be identical to the Z370CG with LTE connectivity in addition.

Finally, is the new Asus ZenPad C 7.0, which comes in Z170C and Z170CG models. The Asus ZenPad C 7.0 (Z170C) features a 7-inch 1024×600 pixel LED-backlit IPS display, and is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom x3-C3200 processor, with 1GB of RAM, and a choice of 8GB or 16GB of storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB).

Connectivity options on the ZenPad C 7.0 (Z170C) include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, GPS/ A-GPS, and Glonass. It bears a 0.3-megapixel front camera, and a choice of 2-megapixel or 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus. Available in Black, White, Red, and Aurora Metallic colour variants, the ZenPad C 7.0 (Z170C) measures 189x108x8.4mm, and weighs 265 grams. Its 13Wh battery is rated to deliver up to 8 hours of battery life.

The Asus ZenPad C 7.0 (Z170CG) is identical to the ZenPad C 7.0 (Z170C), however it sports 3G connectivity in addition, two Micro-SIM card slots, and the 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom x3-C3230 processor.
