ASUS Expands AI PC Portfolio in India with Core Series 3 Powered Vivobook Laptops

ASUS has officially updated its mainstream laptop lineup in India with the arrival of the new Vivobook 15 (X1504MA) and Vivobook 14 (X1404MA). Tailored primarily for students, hybrid workers, and remote professionals, the latest iterations prioritize accessible on-device artificial intelligence, lightweight portability, and everyday productivity.

Advanced AI Hardware and Performance

The defining upgrade for the refreshed Vivobook series lies beneath the hood. Both laptops are powered by up to Intel Core 7 Series 3 processors (specifically up to the Core 7 350 configuration), paired alongside an integrated Intel AI Boost Neural Processing Unit (NPU). This dedicated AI silicon is capable of putting out up to 17 TOPS (trillion operations per second) of computing performance. According to ASUS, this setup handles machine learning workflows locally—improving features like real-time background blur and noise cancellation during virtual meetings—while maximizing overall power efficiency.

To complement the processing package, the devices support up to 16GB of high-speed DDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD storage, translating to faster system boot times and seamless multitasking across heavy browser configurations. Both machines run Windows 11 Home out of the box.

Visuals, Build, and Daily Usability

Available in three distinct aesthetic finishes—Cool Silver, Quiet Blue, and Terra Cotta—the refreshed notebook lineup aims for practical everyday design. The Vivobook 14 sports a compact 14-inch display, while its larger sibling features a 15.6-inch panel. Both screens utilize a Full HD IPS anti-glare display layout with an 84 percent screen-to-body ratio, 250 nits of peak brightness, and specialized TÜV Rheinland eye-care certification to minimize fatigue during extended screen sessions.

For users frequently moving between classrooms and offices, the chassis structures adhere to rigid US MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability standards. A versatile 180-degree lay-flat hinge has been integrated into the frame, allowing the screen to unfold entirely flat for collaborative work. In terms of weight, the 14-inch model scales in at 1.4kg, while the 15-inch counterpart weighs 1.7kg.

Biometric security is managed via a fingerprint scanner built into the responsive ErgoSense touchpad. Additional hardware elements include an HD webcam with a physical privacy shutter, ASUS SonicMaster-tuned audio speakers, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. A 3-cell 42Wh battery keeps the laptops running, coupled with a standard 45W AC adapter.

Pricing, Launch Timeline, and Value Bundles

ASUS has structured the retail launch across different timelines for the two form factors:

  • ASUS Vivobook 15 (X1504MA): Prices start at ₹75,990. The 15-inch machine is immediately available across major platforms, including the ASUS eShop, Amazon India, Flipkart, and leading retail outlets like Croma, Reliance Digital, and Vijay Sales.

  • ASUS Vivobook 14 (X1404MA): Positioned at a higher tier, pricing starts at ₹1,07,990. Sales for the compact model are scheduled to begin on July 26 through official ASUS retail channels.

To sweeten the purchase, ASUS is including a valuable software bundle that features lifetime access to Microsoft Office Home 2024 alongside a complimentary 1-year subscription to 100GB of OneDrive cloud storage. Flexible consumer finance initiatives under the ASUS Easy Pay program are also available, offering No-Cost EMI options starting at ₹5,066 per month for the 15-inch model and ₹7,199 per month for the 14-inch version.
