ASUS Announces Association With CRY

Pledges support for children in need; Part of its Diwali #HARPALHAPPINESS campaign

Based on the overall theme of #Harpalhappiness, Asus, today announced its association with CRY – Child Rights Asusand You, a leading non-governmental organization (NGO) that works for the underprivileged children protect their rights in India. It will be based on the Asus’ overall festive season theme called ‘Har Pal Happiness’ and will be a part of its Corporate Social responsibility (CSR) initiative towards giving back to the society.

Through this initiative, Asus will use Tweet Fuel Mechanism to give away one brand new laptop for every 1000 tweets with hashtag #HARPALHAPPINESS, which will be given away to CRY to help underprivileged children in their educational endeavors and personal development.

Commenting on this initiative, Mr. Peter Chang, Region Head – South Asia &India Country Manager said “The idea is to spread smiles & give back to the society in as much possible way you can. We truly believe that all children, no matter where they come from deserve equal education and our #HARPALHAPPINESS campaign exactly resonates with these sentiments. There is no other happiness that can equal the joy of giving and through this, we are coming together and asking everyone to tweet for a cause.”

The Contest
Asus has launched one more initiative wherein consumers can recommend any particular person who really, truly needs a laptop but doesn’t have adequate resources to buy one. The user needs to upload a great compelling story explaining why that particular person deserves a laptop along with a picture,
