Apple Launches iOS 9 With IPad Multitasking, ‘Proactive’ Siri, Better Battery Life & More

Apple has recently rolled out its latest iteration of mobile operating system, iOS 9 to iPhones, iPods and iPads. The recently launched IOS 9_Applesoftware brings a various changes such as performance tweaks, Siri improvements and better linking between the applications. Devices require approximately 1.3GB of free space for the installation of the latest version of iOS.

According to the latest reports, the new OS comes with poweful search, enhanced battery life and better security. Meanwhile with an improved design, its virtual assistant Siri has become more intelligent and comes with contextual reminders for its users. It also brings News app and a redesigned Notes application.

In order to woo, its Indian customers, iOS 9 releases keyboards for Hinglish, Telugu, Punjabi and Gujarati apart from Hindi transliteration keyboard. It also adds support for many new Indian languages such as Angika, Kurukh, Awadhi, Magahi, Newari, Maithili and Santhali.

While the latest iteration of the operating system is yet to enter the Apple smartwatch, you can download to other devices by clicking on Settings and selecting Software Update from General. Android users who wish to migrate to iOS can go to Move to iOS application from Google Play Store app.

Apple explains, “After you enter a security code, it will begin transferring your content and put it in the right places. Just like that. Once your content has been transferred, you’re ready to get going. iOS will also set up your default mail account.”

Although the long awaited iOS 9 is out with much hype, Apple customers have been facing issues while upgrading to the latest version.
