Apple is expected to launch its fifth-generation iPad equipped with a 24.6-cm (9.7-inch) screen in September. The firm is also expected to introduce an upgraded version of iPad Mini soon, says a report. It is being anticipated that the new version of Apple iPad will feature a narrow bezel, retina display, and an enhanced battery.

As per the report submitted by DigiTimes, which quotes upstream suppliers, the manufacturing of the new 24.6-cm (9.7-inch) iPad is nearly over and the device is ready with all specifications. The report adds that along with recent addition to the Retina Display, the new tablet will have a slimmer bezel design, which would allow bigger viewing. The tablet is also believed to provide better battery as compared to its predecessor.

Quoting the sources, website also added that Apple is considering an upgraded version of its 20-cm (7.9-inch) display based iPad Mini. The new version will feature a narrower bezel, which will be of almost the same as a smartphone.

The report adds that Apple is still considering whether to provide Retina display in the refurbished iPad Mini or not.
