NEW DELHI: US tech giant Apple is all set to launch its iPad Pro in India. The company has listed its biggest-ever iPad on its official website and sources say that it will hit the Indian markets early next week.
Although the company has not officially revealed the prices of the upcoming iPads, according to a report by the Quint, the Wi-Fi only 32GB model will be priced at Rs 67,900 and the 128GB model at Rs 79,900. Also, the 128GB model with 4G LTE connectivity will cost Rs 91,900. However, according to our information these prices are only indicative.
The tablet features a 12.9-inch display with a whopping 5.6 million pixels. It is powered by the new 64-bit A9X chip from Apple. This promises 1.8 times the performance that of the existing second-generation 64-bit A8X chip, which runs on the iPad Air 2. The new version also includes a detachable keyboard and stylus.
The tablet has a four-speaker audio system and balances the sound automatically, depending on how it is being held. It will offer 10 hours of battery life, similar to what the standard iPad and iPad mini offer.
Last week, Apple acknowledged that there is problem with iPad Pro. The company has published a support document that tells users what to do in case their iPad Pro stops responding and the screen is black.
The company added that it “is aware of this issue and is investigating.”
Apple launched the iPad Pro in September ahead of the launch of the new iPhones. The iPad Pro directly competes with the Microsoft’s Surface Pro 4, which has been scheduled to launch in India in January.
