Android-Powered Lumia Smartphone Under production

imagesMicrosoft appears to be very serious about Android. After launching the X-series Android smartphones, the company is now looking to port Android to its existing line of Lumia smartphones.

The information comes from the camps of popular leakster @evleaks. The leakster has an impressive track record of leaking information about the upcoming gadgets and this time he has a news for Lumia smartphone line-up. The Lumia smartphone range is currently developed under the ‘Nokia by Microsoft’ brand. Apart from the fact that an upcoming Lumia smartphone will have Android, no other information is revealed by the leakster.
Microsoft launched the Android-powered smartphone under the Nokia X series earlier this year. The idea was to provide an Android experience sans Google, where the company replaced Google’s services with that of Microsoft’s. The company has launched Nokia X, Nokia X+, Nokia XL and Nokia X2 in the Android range so far.

@evleaks has also said that the company has yet again started working on Microsoft Surface Mini, the smaller version of Surface tablet. The tablet will reportedly be launched next summer. It is rumoured that Microsoft Surface Mini will possibly be one of the best note-taking tablets with 19.05-cm (7.5-inch) screen sporting 1440x1080p display resolution. The tablet will run on Windows 8.1 OS and is likely to be powered by an ARM chip. This device may feature 3G and 4G connectivity.
