ITVoice News: Sony Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z can now update their operating system to Android 4.4.4 KitKat. Sony Mobile’s global PR team’s twitter account made an official announcement stating, “#android 4.4.4 rolls for #Xperia Z, ZL, ZR & Tablet Z – brings fixes, battery, wifi & email improvements and more #SonyXperia.”
Though its has not yet provided any detailed changelog or time frame for the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update but reports (Xperia Blog) claim that it was already out to the LTE version of Xperia Tablet Z (SGP321) on Vodafone carrier in Europe on Monday. It even stated that the Xperia Z users in France started receiving the update notification on Tuesday.
Sony witnessed last Android update for the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z in May which involved update to Android 4.4 KitKat version which observed a new portfolio with smart social camera, battery stamina mode, email, messaging and much more.
The company, last week at pre-IFA 2014 in Berlin announced Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. Also the SmartBand Talk and SmartWatch 3, as its new wearables.
