Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Update Now Available For Google Nexus 10 And Nexus 7

An updated Android 5.1.1 OTA update is available for Nexus 7 Wi-Fi 2012, 2013, Nexus Player and Nexus devices. With bugs fixes and Device Protection features, the update boasts better performance.

Nexus 10 users have started receiving the updated Android 5.1.1 OTA with a downloading requirement of only 13.9 MB and LMY47V as the build number. In fact, Nexus 10 happens to be the first Nexus device to get Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OTA update, whereas, Nexus 9 users are still waiting the release of the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop OTA update.

With Device Protection being one of the most important feature for 5.1 Lollipop update, a stolen device is expected remain locked until the user signs in with his or her Google account, even after “factory reset” is done. Devices will also be able to connect to Wi-Fi with limited Internet access. Other features include high definition voice calls and enhanced battery life for devices running on the latest OS.
