All new canon imageClass MF249dw

Here comes the Canon ImageClass MF249dw, a modern age compact monochrome laser all-in-one printer that is designed for all types of office works (home office, micro office or as a personal printer). Available at $299 it provides a nice range of connecting choices, like Ethernet, Wi-Fi Direct to the USB and Wi-Fi found in the Canon ImageClass MF227w. This printer is actually an upgraded version of Canon ImageClass MF2227dw with a larger automatic document feeder and facilitates the automatic scanning of the two sided documents. So it will simply replace its previous one in home and offices.

Design and features
With the size of 14.2-by-15.4-by-14.9 inches (HWD) and weight of 30.3 pounds (with cartridge), this matte-black colored printer can 8be easily placed on a desk along with some other stuff or you can have a bench or table of its own. Its weight is easy enough to be carried or moved by one person.

There is a letter size flatbed along with a 50 sheet duplexing ADF on the top of the printer to various functions such as scan, copy, and fax both sides of a document or documents. Now, how it works? It starts with scanning one side of the document, flips it over, and then process the scanning of the other side. A 3.5 inch, six line monochrome touch LCD is the fixed as the front panel beneath the flat board, and includes a keypad with stop, start, home, back and energy saver options.

In order to handle papers, Canon ImageClass MF249dw is designed with a 250 sheet main paper tray plus single-sheet multipurpose feeder along with an automatic duplexer that helps in printing on both sides of a sheet of paper. By default, the printer is set on the paper-money saving measure: the two side printing. The printer has no arrangement for additional paper trays. If we discuss the capacity, Canon ImageClass MF249dw’s recommended monthly print volume is 3000 pages and can print maximum 15000 pages per month.

Connectivity
The MF249dw is well equipped with connection choices, including Ethernet, USB, Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi Direct. It supports printing with the Canon Print Business and Mopria Print Service apps, as well as Google Cloud Print. It lacks a port for a USB thumb drive.

Printing speed
9Set on the default duplex printing mode, Canon ImageClass MF249dw can print with the average speed of 15.8 ppm (pages per minutes) in the text only or word segment. And in the other formats of printing, like PowerPoint, PDF and Excel files, it can print with the average speed of 11.9 ppm.

Output quality
In the opinion of starting users found it typical for a mono laser, with average text, slightly above-par graphics and average photos. The print quality of a mono laser is also fair enough for any business use if there is no special requirement of very small fonts.

Now come to the print price per page. Running costs for the MF249dw, based on Canon’s prices and yield figures for toner cartridges, are 3.5 cents per page, typically of a mono laser all-in-one at its price.

Conclusion
In words of technical expert Tony Hoffman “Delivering solid speed and good output quality, the Canon ImageClass MF249dw is a compact and capable mono laser all-in-one printer for use in a micro or home office. It offers enhancements over two previous-generation models: the Canon MF229dw, which it is replacing in Canon’s line, and the Canon MF227dw.”

It is rated for higher-volume printing than either of these printers, is built for higher-volume use, and adds Wi-Fi Direct connectivity. The MF249dw also has a better ADF than the MF227dw, and it inherits that model’s Editors’ Choice as a shared micro-office monochrome printer.
