Alcatel Announces New Tablet With Massive 43.94cm Display

Following the footsteps of Lenovo, Alcatel has also unveiled its new tablet model besides smartphones and Alcatelsmartwatches at IFA 2015 trade show. With a massive 43.94cm (17.3-inch) display, we wonder if it is eligible to get listed under the tablet category. While the device is not really portable, it is good to use at home and office.

Alcatel OneTouch Xess sports full-HD display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. Powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT8783T processor coupled with 2GB of RAM, the phone comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage with expandability via microSD. Packed with a massive 10000mAh battery, the device comes with proximity sensor, gyroscope, ambient light sensor and magnetometer. It also features a built-in stand that can angle the screen at 75, 50, or 30 degree angles for a great viewing experience.

The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop. It features a decent 5MP front-facing camera for capturing impressive selfies. With the connectivity of 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, Alcatel OneTouch Xess comes with accessories such as blue-free film, mag cover, Bluetooth mouse, keypad and speaker and mounting case.
