Airtel’s Rs 509 plan offers users 1GB data per day with 84 days validity

One of the leading telecom operator of the country Airtel has rolled out a new plan for its prepaid users in competition to Reliance Jio. The service provider has introduced a plan of Rs 509 for all the existing and new customers.
Under the Rs 509 plan, Airtel is offering 1GB data per day along with unlimited local and STD calling and 100 SMS per day. The pack comes with the validity of 84 days.
With this new plan, Airtel is targeting the Rs 459 plan of Reliance Jio. Reliance Jio also offers 1GB data daily with unlimited calling and SMS for the period of 84 days.
Recently, Airtel expanded its ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’, series with the launch of Aqua Lions N1 smartphone in association with domestic smartphone maker Intex.
The company revealed that the customers can purchase the Intex Aqua Lions N1 at a down payment of Rs 3,149. Along with this, the users also have to recharge their Airtel connection with Rs 169 per month. The customers have to do the recharge for the period of 36 months. After the competition of 18 months, the customers will get the refund of Rs 500 and after the period of 36 months they will get the refund of Rs 1,000. This means that the customers will get a refund of Rs 1,500 making the effective cost of the device to be Rs 1,649.
