Airtel Offers Free Upgrade To 4G At 3G Prices To Existing Customers in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam

airtel-to-drive-TD-LTE-base-station-growthTelco operator Airtel has announced the launch of 4G trials in Hyderabad and Vishakapatnam. The company is strengthening its services in the south by providing complimentary upgrade to 4G at 3G prices. The free services can be availed by existing customers across these two cities.

Existing Airtel users can walk into any of Airtel’s retail store across Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam and upgrade to a 4G SIM.

As a part of the new initiative, the company wants their existing customers to enjoy the Airtel 4G network at the price of 3G. Apart from this, Airtel would also be able to promote its new services in the city on a broader scale.

Earlier, the company launched its first 4G service in Kolkata in April 2012. Currently, users in Kolkata can get superfast internet speeds and also enjoy high definition video streaming with zero buffering. Apart from Kolkata, 4G services have been launched in Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, Chandigarh and Amritsar.

For GTM (go-to-market) strategies, the company has signed an agreement with Samsung and Flipkart to uplift the sale of the 4G devices. With this partnership, Airtel seeks transformation in the networking arena and wants more customers to experience a whole new world of internet.
