Adobe rolls out Firefly generative image creator to enterprises globally

During the Adobe Summit, software company Adobe announced the launch of Firefly for Enterprise, which brings its generative AI model to enterprise customers worldwide. This new feature enables users to generate images based on text descriptions, allowing every employee in an organization to create visuals for marketing, presentations, and social media promotion. With the increasing demand for content in enterprises, this offering aims to drive internal efficiencies by empowering users of all skill levels to transform ideas into compelling content using Firefly, while also leveraging the capabilities of Express and Creative Cloud for asset customization and delivering standout designs. David Wadhwani, President of Adobe’s Digital Media Business, highlighted the significance of this enterprise solution as content demands are expected to multiply in the coming years.

According to a report from The Verge, Adobe has not disclosed the pricing details for Firefly for Enterprise, but it hinted that brands will be able to obtain licenses for a flat price, allowing broad deployment to employees. The pricing will be based on the organization’s needs and size. Unlike other generative AI models, Firefly was trained on Adobe Stock images, openly licensed content, and public domain content, making it commercially safe and avoiding potential copyright issues associated with undisclosed training data.

Since its launch in March, Firefly beta users have already generated over 200 million images, as mentioned in Adobe’s blog post. Users of Firefly have access to various resources such as high-quality images, video, design templates, audio assets, fonts, icons, backgrounds, and shapes to inspire their content creation and generation.

Additionally, Adobe also introduced Adobe Express for enterprise users, providing seamless integration with Firefly. However, there is no specific information available regarding the release date for Firefly for Enterprise.
